Associate SAA-C03
The most popular AWS certification. Validates ability to design scalable, cost-efficient, fault-tolerant AWS solutions. Essential for cloud architects and engineers.
The AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (SAA-C03) is the most widely held AWS certification and a cornerstone credential for cloud professionals. It validates the ability to design distributed systems on AWS that are secure, resilient, high-performing, and cost-optimized — the four pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
The exam covers four key domains: Design Secure Architectures (30%), Design Resilient Architectures (26%), Design High-Performing Architectures (24%), and Design Cost-Optimized Architectures (20%). You must demonstrate deep knowledge of core services like EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, ELB, Auto Scaling, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM, and EFS, as well as architectural patterns like multi-tier applications, serverless designs, and disaster recovery strategies.
The exam features 80 questions in 130 minutes with scenario-based questions that test your ability to select the best architecture for a given business requirement. Most candidates with 1–2 years of AWS experience pass after 4–6 weeks of dedicated preparation. The SAA-C03 is a prerequisite mindset for the Professional-level Solutions Architect exam.
