The Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300) validates the ability to design, implement, and operate identity and access management solutions using Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory). It is the primary certification for IAM specialists and security administrators working with Microsoft identity services.
The exam covers four domains: Implement Identities in Microsoft Entra ID (20–25%), Implement Authentication and Access Management (25–30%), Implement Access Management for Applications (15–20%), and Plan and Implement Identity Governance in Microsoft Entra ID (25–30%). Key topics include external identity (B2B, B2C), Conditional Access policies, Microsoft Authenticator and FIDO2 authentication, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), access reviews, entitlement management, app registrations and enterprise app SSO (SAML, OIDC), and hybrid identity with Entra Connect.
The SC-300 is highly complementary to AZ-500 and AZ-104, and is essential for professionals who manage identity and zero-trust security postures in Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. It is a strong credential for IAM architects, security engineers, and Microsoft 365 administrators.
“SC-300 became manageable with this. Entra ID, identity governance and access management were all accurate. First try.”
“Realistic questions and clear, actionable explanations. I knew which areas were still weak right up to the day, which is exactly what I wanted.”
Every SC-300 question is written by someone who holds this certification and works in the field — not scraped from other sites, and not generated and shipped unreviewed. Every explanation you are shown has been read and approved by that same expert first.
