The exam covers five domains: Design, Implement, and Manage Hybrid Networking (10–15%), Design and Implement Core Networking Infrastructure (20–25%), Design and Implement Routing (25–30%), Secure and Monitor Networks (15–20%), and Design and Implement Private Access to Azure Services (10–15%). Core services include Azure Virtual Networks, subnets, UDRs, VNet Peering, Azure Load Balancer, Azure Application Gateway, Azure Firewall, Azure DNS, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Azure Bastion, Private Link, and Azure DDoS Protection.
The AZ-700 is the dedicated networking certification in the Azure Associate tier. Candidates typically hold AZ-104 before taking this exam.
